Q&A with our beautiful Australian swimwear model Elise Zecevic

We caught up with with the gorgeous Elise Zecevic and asked her some personal questions about health, happiness & wellbeing. Elise is an up and coming Australian swimwear model and we wanted to get her thoughts on body confidence and how she manages to stay happy and healthy as a swimwear model.

When you've come home from a big day at work and you just need to relax.. what are three ways that you de-stress?

After a big day working, if the weather is looking up Ill go for a swim at the beach or I like to listen to music, have a boogie and just lay down and unravel my mind.

What do you do to stay healthy?

In regards to diet and exercise its always changing. Some days I eat lots of junk food and other days Im eating nutritious, fresh food, it all depends on my schedule and how my body is feeling at the time. As for exercise I don't have a set routine at the gym, instead I get moving from bush walking, adventuring or swimming in the ocean and just being out and about.
Im not one to be too strict on myself with diet and exercise as I prefer to just go with how my mind and body are feeling, I find that works best for me, although everyone is different!

If you're feeling down, what do you do to lift your spirits?

Dance and walk! When I'm feeling down I like to feel it at its fullest, have a cry, write down my frustrations and laze around, accepting the emotion rather than pushing it away. Once I've allowed it to be felt, I build enough energy to put on some tunes and dance around or walk amongst nature to centre myself again. Sometimes picking up a paint brush and just flowing on the canvas also works for me.

What does happiness mean to you?

Happiness to me is when I'm feeling in my element, when I have faith in what I'm venturing towards, and when I come back to my most natural state. It's just a feeling of pure joy within myself, that cannot be given by the things that surround me, which only hold me temporarily.

What is your favourite part of your body and why?

australian swimwear brands

It would have to be my eyes. They just tell so much, you'll learn a lot about yourself by looking into your own eyes when you're going through different emotions or situations. I find the eyes so intriguing.

If you could give advice to your younger self what would it be?

Just hang in there. Everyone has a reason, we all live in our own world, so hold your forgiveness as it is a gift and never doubt the power within you. Despite anything happening around you, whats meant to be is meant to be. You are on your way to what you wish for yourself, it will happen.
